Strength in Scarves

Inspired by the survivors, Strength in Scarves, a non-profit organization, supports victims of domestic violence through gifts of hand-knitted and crocheted items.

As a symbol for strength, scarves promote a sense of warmth, security and comfort. Whether to help encourage confidence by covering physical wounds or to help build self-esteem through the symbolism of strength, these scarves can be worn knowing that victims are not alone; that the suffering can be stopped. Our gifts are meant to express love and support as individuals build their strength in surviving their struggles.

The hand-knitted and crocheted scarves and other items are gifted to domestic violence victims through well established shelters and organizations, which are helping those surviving domestic violence.  

In specific situations, knitted and crocheted gifts are sent to individual survivors of domestic violence in the United States.  ​​
